Munster went into their Guinness PRO14 clash with Glasgow well aware that they owed the Scots one.
Glasgow Warriors dismantled Johann van Graan's men in their PRO14 clash at Scotstoun, earlier this season, so the South African went with a strong starting XV to avenge that loss before the international break.
From the first whistle there was a huge amount of niggle, as neither side backed down.
67 seconds into the match, TV cameras were forced to swing from the action to Munster captain and Warriors winger Rory Hughes going at it over on the left wing.
As players from both sides rushed to have their say, the crowd roared on and the match officials tried the best to soothe matters. O'Mahony and Munster lock Jean Kleyn were right in the thick of it.
The disruption did no harm for the hosts and their captain. Six minutes into the game and O'Mahony stole a Glasgow lineout to spark a counter-attack from Keith Earls.
James Cronin powered over for a score soon after but Glasgow answered back with a great team move that resulted in a George Horne try. Five minutes before half-time and it was Horne again after a Sammy Arnold error in defence left Munster exposed.
