Michail Antonio brutally criticised West Ham teammate Gianluca Scamacca and accused him of showing a lack of fight.
Scamacca was one of David Moyes' marquee signings alongside Lucas Paquetá but has failed to set the world alight at the London Stadium.
The Italian has struggled for fitness and form, scoring just three times in 16 appearances and it appears he has yet to impress his teammates.
During an appearance on the Filthy Fellas podcast, Antonio questioned if the forward suited Moyes' style of play but did commend his technical ability.
"I'm going to be honest with you lot. He's actually quality. He is a quality player," he said.
"The problem is, he can't play the way the gaffer (Moyes) plays. He needs a different type of manager to play his type of football.
"He needs a manager (where) he can play and have other players come off him and stuff like that. You can see, the ball comes into him and it sticks, he's tidy.
"But how David Moyes plays is more like if you're up front, you're dealing with scraps and you've got to be more of a fighter, and that's not him."
Although he has struggled at West Ham, Scamacca has shown some bright sparks, scoring five times in nine appearances on the Hammers' run to the Conference League final - which he is expected to be unavailable for.
His arrival was to act as competition for Antonio but after struggling with injury, Moyes opted to sign Danny Ings from Aston Villa in January.
