According to Miguel Delaney of the Independent, United will attempt to sign Jan Oblak if De Gea departs for Real.
Oblak has impressed for Atletico Madrid, De Gea's former team, since joining the Spanish side in 2014.
The 24-year-old Slovenian is considered one of Europe's best 'keepers.
United reportedly also scouted Inter Milan's Samir Handanovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma of AC Milan, but consider Oblak the ideal replacement for De Gea, should he leave.
Joe Hart has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
But, needless to say, Oblak would be a more popular replacement with United fans than the Manchester City goalkeeper, currently on-loan at Torino in Italy.Football
