Macclesfield to launch under new ownership with Robbie Savage as head of football

The club will play at the same ground, Moss Rose

The town of Macclesfield will have a new football club after Robert Smethurst bought the assets of the club. Macclesfield Town were given a winding up order in the High Court and expelled from the National League, but will now compete as Macclesfield FC at the same stadium, Moss Rose.
