The Spanish golfer beat Woods 2&1 to give Team Europe a 12 ½ to 9 ½ lead at Le Golf National in Paris. The loss completed Tiger's indifferent few days at the tournament, where he failed to score a point for the American team. However, it was all about Rahm who was competing in his first Ryder Cup.
