Erling Haaland ‘called a wh***’ by Sweden defender, who also threatened to ‘break his legs’

The Norway striker scored twice against Sweden

Erling Haaland has accused Sweden defender Alexander Milosevic of calling him a 'wh**e' and threatening to break his legs during their Nations League match on Sunday. The 21-year-old, who has joined Manchester City in a £51million deal this summer, scored two goals as Norway overcame Sweden at the Friends Arena in Solna. However, the former Borussia Dortmund man appeared to be the subject of goading by AIK defender Milosevic - with footage showing the 30-year-old directing words towards Haaland on at least two occasions. Asked about the incident after the match, Haaland told TV2 Norway: "First he called me a wh**e, which I can assure you I'm not, and told me he was going to break my legs. Then I scored a minute later." Milosevic was also asked about the exchanges between him and the striker, but - despite footage to the contrary - denied that any had taken place.

"It is quite rude to say what he says, because I do not speak Norwegian and he does not speak Swedish, so I do not know how we should communicate," he said.

"I do not speak English on the pitch, so it is surprising that he says things I have not said."

Norway top Nations League group

Victory for Ståle Solbakken's side saw them go top of League B Group 4 in the Nations League, having won both of their clashes to date and sitting three points clear of both Serbia and Sweden. Related links:
