Gareth Southgate has landed a new job five weeks after he resigned as England manager.
Southgate took charge of the national team in 2016 after Sam Allardyce’s exit and managed them to two European finals.
The 53-year-old decided to step down after the Three Lions were defeated by Spain in the final of the Euros earlier this year.
His new chapter will include working closely with UEFA performance analysis in order to provide reports on every national team and club competition in Europe.
It was rumoured that Gareth Southgate would join Match of the Day as a pundit and was seen as the ideal replacement for Ian Wright.
However, the 53-year-old will begin a new chapter as a UEFA technical observer and will be tasked with reviewing games, with access to multiple camera angles alongside advanced data visualisation tools.
Former West Ham and Manchester United manager David Moyes has also landed himself a similar role.
Moyes led the Hammers to their first trophy in over 43 years in the 2022/23 campaign but left at the end of last season.
