It now seems a matter of time until Crystal Palace announce the immediate departure of head coach Oliver Glasner.
Although it had been widely understood that Glasner plans to leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season, earlier today, Fabrizio Romano reported that talks are underway between the Palace hierarchy over a swift exit for the 2025 FA Cup winner.
It comes amidst a serious stagnation in Palace's Premier League form, with the FA Cup champions slowly moving closer to the relegation zone, now just eight points from danger.
Palace have also been accused of playing without the clear identity that awarded Glasner so much praise last season.
Alongside those discussions regarding Glasner's departure, the south London club also appear to have been making preparations as to who should replace the 51-year-old in the dugout.

TalkSport journalist Alex Crook has indicated that one of the names being considered to assume managerial responsibilities at Selhurst is Robbie Keane.
Former Spurs and Aston Villa player Keane has built an impressive CV as an up-and-coming young coach.
The Irishman has won league titles during spells with Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ferencvaros, back in Europe.
Keane was even put forward as a potential replacement for Thomas Frank at Spurs before the north Londoners appointed Igor Tudor.
It now remains to be seen if Palace move forward with plans by opening direct talks with Keane.
