Chelsea will appoint a new chairman who will replace Todd Boehly.
No decision has been made on who will replace Boehly, but it is likely that one of Behdad Eghbali or Jose Feliciano, will take the reigns until 2032. At that point, Boehly would have the option to return and reclaim his minority stake if he wished.
Speculation about struggles in the relationship between Boehly and Clearlake Capital have been dismissed by Chelsea and the two are in contact on a regular basis.
Fans of the two-time European champions have regularly pointed the finger at Boehly since his arrival in 2022, citing his role as a reason behind their dramatic fall down the table.
Reports have suggested that Boehly's approach is more with a view to the long term whereas Eghbali and Feliciano would want to deliver success quickly to cool the pressure place upon them by investors.
The Blues are 11th in the Premier League and were heavily criticised for losing the Carabao Cup final to a youthful, inexperienced Liverpool side.
Despite their misfortunes Chelsea have also reached the FA Cup semi final and will play Manchester City. They could also even sneak into a European spot if they have a good run of form until the end of the season.
