Cahill made his debut for Millwall nearly two decades ago, and went on to play a key role in the club's run to the 2004 FA Cup final, where they were beaten by Manchester United. After this, he sealed a move to Everton, staying at Goodison Park for eight years.
After leaving Merseyside in 2012, Cahill played in Major League Soccer with New York Red Bulls. Following this with spells in China, he returned to Australia in 2016 to join Melbourne City - a club at which many thought he would end his professional career. Judging by the latest reports, this may prove not to be the case.Football
