Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has joked that his choice of jacket was an intentional attempt to trick the linesman during Manchester United's dramatic Champions League round of 16 victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night. Solskjaer was forced to wear a yellow bib throughout the match at the Parc des Princes, which culminated in history being made as United became the first side to overturn a 2-0 home deficit with their 3-1 victory in France. The bib came off quickly after Marcus Rashford's late penalty sent the Red Devils into the quarter-final and after the match, Solskjaer explained why he was ordered to wear it. "I had a black coat on and PSG played in black," Solskjaer explained. "And the linesman was over on the other side. I was running up and down too much to stop the offside trap, probably." When it was put to the Norwegian, who is destined for the full-time United job after a quite incredible turnaround in form, that PSG boss Thomas Tuchel was also sporting a black coat, Solskjaer revealed that he also asked that question. "Yes but his linesman was in front of him, wasn't he?" Solskjaer answered. "But mine was on the opposite side so he couldn't really see. "I tried to give that opinion to the fourth official but it was a sensible answer, to be fair."
