Jon Moss’ shop vandalised after Championship play-off final controversy

Police have launched an investigation into an attack on the shop owned by recently-retired referee, Jon Moss in the aftermath of the Championship play-off final. As reported by the Daily Star, Moss is believed to have contacted Yorkshire Police after his shop 'The Vinyl Whistle' in Headingley was vandalised. The incident occurred 48 hours after Moss had officiated the play-off final at Wembley Stadium as Nottingham Forest secured their return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years with a 1-0 win against Huddersfield Town. Moss chose not to award Huddersfield two penalties in the game and received heavy backlash from fans of the Terriers in particular who questioned why the ex-Premier League official didn't award the penalty.
