As the possibility of Leicester actually winning the Premier League became increasingly realistic, Gary Lineker made the promise to present Match of the Day in his underwear on the first day of the following season if Leicester went on to win the title. The Foxes marched on to secure the title against all the odds - 5000/1 at the start of the season - and just as he promised, Lineker began the first Match of the Day in a Leicester City branded pair of boxer briefs. The England legend could have just let himself in for another embarrassment, having admitted to CBBC that he would "maybe do it in a mankini or something" if England go on to win the World Cup. "Although if they did win the World Cup I wouldn't mind, it'd be amazing," the former Leicester player added. Going by the bookies' odds, England winning the World Cup is significantly more likely than Leicester winning the league was, although it still feels incredibly unlikely.
