Emmanuel Adebayor takes swipe at Arsenal amid Aubameyang stand-off

Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has taken aim at the club for their treatment of ex-club captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international has been frozen out of the first-team set-up by Mikel Arteta after a disciplinary breach which culminated in him losing the captaincy. The striker has recently been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia too and Adebayor, who was also frozen out at the Emirates Stadium before a move to Manchester City in 2009, hit out at the club, warning Aubameyang that it could be a rollercoaster of emotions. "This is the first problem that has happened with Arsenal," the former Togo international said. "I know he is definitely going to go through a lot, because that's Arsenal for you, they never know how to forgive. "He is a strong player, he's a good player, he's a fantastic player. I wish him all the best and I've sent him a message already. He said: "In Arsenal, I don't think there is a way back for him. "This is why I tell him to leave, because it happened to me, not in the same way, but in Arsenal way back, I'd be surprised.
