Everton are due to appoint former Arsenal and Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole as assistant manager to Frank Lampard. Cole will link up at Goodison Park with his former teammate, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at the club, and joins Joe Edwards, Chris Jones and Paul Clement as part of Lampard's backroom staff.
