Anfang has been banned from coaching for one year

Former Werder Bremen manager Markus Anfang has been banned from coaching for one year for using a falsified vaccination certificate. The 47-year-old German resigned from his position in November amid an investigation by German authorities into his alleged use of a forged covid vaccination document. Bremen initially stated that Anfang had denied using a fake vaccination certificate, however, he and then assistant coach Florian Junge both left their roles just one day later. The Sports Court of the German Football Federation (DFB) have now banned Anfang for a year - starting from November 20. As reported by Sport Buzzer, the penalty has been set from June 10 for probation.
