Despite promising negotiations since the pair of undefeated heavyweights fought to a controversial split draw last December, Fury has changed plans and will instead take an interim fight in the hope of building his profile in the United States. Fresh from signing a landmark deal with ESPN, which will see the network become the exclusive broadcaster of Fury's fights in the US, 'The Gypsy King' reportedly hopes to delay his rematch with Wilder until Autumn. Fury will first meet an unnamed opponent in May or June on ESPN and 'The Bronze Bomber' was none too pleased after learning of the Brit's changed plans.
