Crawley have taken action after being made aware of 'serious and credible' accusations
Crawley Town have suspended manager John Yems as a result of 'serious' accusations that he used discriminatory language and behaviour against his own players.
The League Two club have opted to temporarily relieve him of his duties while they investigate. He will therefore not be present as his side travel to Mansfield on Saturday afternoon, with the club confirming assistant manager Lewis Young will be taking charge of the team in his absence.

Crawley on decision to suspend Yems
'Late Friday, Crawley Town Football Club was made aware of serious and credible accusations that first-team manager John Yems used discriminatory language and behaviour toward our players,' said a club statement, released on Friday.
'We take these allegations seriously and, effective immediately, have suspended him indefinitely as we investigate and consider further punitive action.
'Let us be clear: Crawley Town Football Club stands behind our players, employees and supporters, and we will never tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind.'
Yems has been in his position at Crawley since 2019, overseeing two 12th-place finishes in the fourth tier.
Along with the decision to suspend him, it is also reported that the Football Association have also been made aware of the allegations against Yems.
