After producing several moments of magic throughout the tournament, Cheslin Kolbe has wowed rugby fans once again.
Still celebrating their narrow World Cup Final win against New Zealand at the weekend, the Springboks were in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
The team were at the MultiChoice headquarters, home of broadcaster Super Sport, to showcase the William Webb Ellis at an event.
They were joined by a young fan who had gone viral earlier in the tournament for his performance singing at a talent show whilst wearing a Springbok jersey.
This time round he used the mic to heap praise on Kolbe, shouting:
“Cheslin Kolbe… you are my favourite because you inspire me. So that’s why I want to be a pocket rocket just like you!”
Kolbe responded with the gift of a lifetime...
As seen in the video, Kolbe didn't hesitate in leaving his seat and casually handing over his winners’ medal to huge applause.
The two-time World Cup-winner's act of kindness hasn't gone unnoticed, amassing thousands of views on Instagram, X, and TikTok.
Fans were immediately reminded of this stellar moment from Sonny Bill Williams after the All Blacks won the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
A young fan, unfazed by a heavy tackle from the security guard, is escorted back to his seat by Williams. When they arrive, the two-time World Cup winner hands over his medal in yet another touch of class!
Two powerful moments, eight years apart, from two incredible players that know how much these moments mean to young fans.
