Brock Lesnar could be back sooner than you think as doping ban is confirmed

Brock Lesnar has been suspended for one year by USADA for failing two drug tests prior to UFC 200 last July.

Lesnar's punishment was announced on Wednesday afternoon in a statement issued by USADA. The former UFC heavyweight champion will be eligible to return to the Octagon on July 15, 2017 – exactly a year after his provisional USADA suspension began. According to the USADA statement:

"In an out-of-competition drug test on June 28 and in-competition test on July 9, the night of UFC 200, Lesnar tested positive for clomiphene and its metabolite, 4-hydroxyclomiphene, following an out-of-competition urine test conducted on June 28, 2016, and an in-competition urine test conducted on July 9, 2016."

He was also suspended for a year by the Nevada Athletic Commission, and fined $250,000. The result of Lesnar's fight at UFC 200, a unanimous decision victory over Mark Hunt, has been overturned and ruled as a no-contest by the Nevada Athletic commission.
