Ben Foster has reportedly made a decision on his Wrexham future as they prepare for life in League Two.
Foster joined on a short-term deal towards the end of last season as the Dragons returned to the Football League for the first time in 15 years after a dramatic title race with Notts County.
The former England international hinted after their league win that he may well stay to help in the fourth tier, saying to co-owner Ryan Reynolds: "We'll do it again next year."
Reynolds then replied: "Yes! Alright, that's a contract. We'll do it again next year' and that's it - done. You just verbally signed!"
One month on from his first hint, TEAMtalk have reported that the 40-year-old is close to agreeing a deal to extend his stay at the Racecourse Ground.
Speaking on the Fellas podcast last week, Foster said that Wrexham have what it takes to go up again next season.
"I think we'll do alright, I really do," he said.
"That first day of training when I got to see them, I thought 'ooh, there's no way you're National League'. I genuinely thought they'd do alright in League One, and maybe even in the Championship they'd hold their own.
"I've already seen a stat that says Wrexham are favourites to get promoted already. We've just been promoted, and now we're favourites to go up again. I'd back that as well... I'd back that because they're ballers."

Wrexham's Hollywood duo of Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are also reportedly setting their sights on back-to-back promotions and as reported by the Daily Mail, will offer manager Phil Parkinson the largest wage budget in the league to fund their way to more success.
