Though the agreement will help the club as it attempts to get in line with La Liga's spending rules, it is unlikely to change their stance on Frenkie de Jong, who, despite what their president Joan Laporta has said publicly, they are believed to want to sell.
De Jong reportedly has no interest in leaving Barca but the club are keen for him to depart to help trim the club's bloated wage bill.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with the Dutch midfielder, with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag keen on a reunion with him ahead of his first season at Old Trafford.
