Arsenal face competition from Barcelona in bid to sign Spanish striker

Arsenal may just have identified an answer to their problems up front - the only problem is Barcelona have the same player in their sights.

According to reports in the Spanish media, Celta Vigo striker Nolito could move to North London for just £13.3m in January. But Barcelona, the 28-year-old's former club, are also thought to be interested in a move for two-cap international. Arsene Wenger may well be on the market for a new striker, with Danny Welbeck potentially out until the new year. Celta have been one of La Liga's surprise packages this season, sitting two points off the top after six games during which time they have remained unbeaten and scored more than any other club. Nolito opened the scoring as they stunned Barcelona 4-1 at Balaidos, a game in which former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas scored twice.
