The Premier League's record goalscorer was talking on The Rest is Football podcast, he said: "Wingers cutting inside on their other foot and having a shot and not crossing it. That would do my nut in playing for Manchester United with those two Antony, and Garnacho, who keep doing that all the time."
Despite the former England international's opinion, Alejandro Garnacho has been one the Manchester United's shining lights in an inconsistent season. The Argentinian winger has contributed with seven goals and four assists this term, cementing a regular starting spot in Erik Ten Hag's side. Whereas, Antony, a player seemingly constantly doubted has struggled since arriving at Old Trafford last summer.
However, the Brazilian took a huge step to winning over the fans against Liverpool. With the game drifting away from United against their biggest rivals, Antony received the ball inside the penalty area before firing through a plethora of legs to equalise with just minutes to go. United went on to win the game 4-3, seeing the Red Devils through to a semi-final clash with Coventry City on April 21st.
Gary Lineker and Micah Richards also weighed in with their 'pet peeves' on the pitch.
"When midfielders have the chance to play forward but play backwards just to keep their pass completion up," said Richards.
Lineker said: "I think mine is the squealing when players get slightly touched on their ankle and they go down like they've been shot by a sniper."
United face Brentford at the Gtech Stadium at 8 pm (GMT) this evening. Ten Hag's side still have an outside chance of finishing in the top four ahead of Spurs and Aston Villa. A victory would see them stay in sixth regardless of other results.
