Is this actually another lockdown? Everyone is referring to it as another lockdown but it seems to me that the pubs are still open, rendering its status on the lockdown scale a two at most.
All that seems to be happening is the government are delicately balancing the rules to the point that they will feel justified in blaming the public, and getting the public to blame each other, for the inevitable next wave of the virus that cripples the NHS during winter.
The rules are clear, they are just contradictory and near impossible to follow. You can go to the pub at 3 in the afternoon and stay there for exactly seven hours and not a minute longer, at which point you'll have to go to your mate's gaff but make sure there's no more than six of you. Even if the pub is less busy.
Let's all just agree to sack off the Zoom quizzes this time, yeah?
