Pennsylvania judge rejects Donald Trump’s ‘haphazardly stitched together’ election lawsuit

Donald is running out of options

A Pennsylvania judge has rejected a Donald Trump lawsuit to overturn the results of the recent election, describing it as "a Frankenstein monster" that had been "haphazardly stitched together". U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Brann wrote that "Because this Court has no authority to take away the right to vote of even a single person, let alone millions of citizens, it cannot grant [the Trump campaign's] requested relief." The Trump legal team, which featured a revolving cast of attorneys, including Rudy Giuliani, argued that Republican poll watchers were not granted access to observe the counting of mail-in ballots. This in turn led to opportunities for 'Democratic counties' to accept fraudulent and technically deficient ballots. The judge wrote that the case lacked factual proof to back up that argument: "One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption. That has not happened." The judge dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning that the Trump campaign team cannot resubmit it. Nevertheless, the Trump campaign legal team says it will appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court. The decision led to Pennsylvania Republican Senator, Pat Toomey moving to congratulate US President-elect Joe Biden for his victory in the election. In a statement he said: "With today's decision by Judge Matthew Brann, a longtime conservative Republican whom I know to be a fair and unbiased jurist, to dismiss the Trump campaign's lawsuit, President Trump has exhausted all plausible legal options to challenge the result of the presidential race in Pennsylvania. "I congratulate President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their victory. They are both dedicated public servants and I will be praying for them and for our country."
