YouTuber Paul Harrell has announced his own death at the age of 58, in a heartbreaking video on his channel.
The content creator had been diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer, which doctors had "caught early."
But this week, on Tuesday (September 3), it was confirmed that he had passed away.
In a post on X, fellow YouTuber Tom Grieve wrote: "I just learned and was given permission to share that Paul has passed.
"A true lion of men, a paragon of integrity, the gun dad of the internet, and a role model for us all. May he continue inspire and call us to be better and do more. Rest in peace."
A pre-recorded video from Harrell was also posted to his channel, in which he announced his own passing.
Filmed in December 2023, the video was published by his family following his death.
The six-minute video, titled 'I'm Dead' shows Harrell sat on a log in some woodland, before he tells the camera: "If you're watching me, I'm dead.
He continues: "We did catch it early but not as early as I had thought. It has spread faster than I thought it would. My time is drawing very short."
Harrell went on to apologise, saying he had "let everybody down," adding that he even after his diagnosis he had "hoped that we'd be here for at least two or three more years."
"My apologies for that. It makes me feel like I've let everybody down," he continued.
Many took to the comments to offer their condolences to Harrell's family, and voice their love for him.
One person wrote: "There's a substantial void in the universe now that cannot be filled. He was "what you call a professional," and will be sorely missed."
Another said: "God speed Paul, see you on the other side."
A third penned: "Paul Harrell is the only man humble enough to apologize for dying, the world won't be the same without him."
Harrell had some 1.2m subscribers on his YouTube channel, and shared videos around fire arms information and safety.
