A woman has been arrested for attacking a child who called her 'Miss Piggy' on a flight.
A plane home from Disney, the happiest place on earth, was anything but for one woman, Kristy Crampton.
Crampton allegedly repeatedly hit a child who called her 'fat' and compared her to The Muppets character, Miss Piggy.
The incident occurred on a flight from Orlando to Maryland over Memorial Day Weekend.
According to the local ABC affiliate, witnesses told airport police that an altercation began after a child, with whom Crampton had been traveling, told her that she wouldn’t fit in the airplane‘s seat.
Witnesses then claimed that Crampton 'began hitting the child with her fist'.
The outlet also reported that Crampton began hitting the child's head with a water bottle as well as slamming their head into the airplane window.
Accoring to what Crampton told the outlet, the plane incident wasn't the start of her and the child's issues, with Crampton allegedly telling police that the kid was 'very rude' and 'disrespectful' while they were at Disney World.
As per the outlet, the police report that Crampton’s response went beyond 'typical disciplinary actions'.
A witness added to this, saying: "The woman was not correcting the child; she was abusing him."
The ABC outlet reported that Crampton was charged with felony child abuse and was granted a $10,000 bond.
Furthermore, she was allegedly ordered to stay away from the child after her first court appearance.
