Which reveals secret Tesco codes you can use to save money on your shopping

In a video posted on social media, the company explained to shoppers how they could make the most of their money by examining a simple code on the shelf below the product.

Taking to their Instagram account Which UK said: "When we spot a tempting promotion, our impulse is to snap it up in case the offer ends soon.

"But it’s easy to check exactly when Tesco Club card Prices will finish: the date an offer ends is written backwards in small print on the shelf label. If it says ‘241001’, that offer will end on 1 October."

In the video, they explained how each supermarket displays how long the promotion will run for.

Waitrose is probably the most straight forward as they display the date and month on the shelf.

They continued: "Shelf labels for Sainsbury’s Nectar Prices have the date the promotion started in small print, which gives a clue to how long it will be valid for - offers usually run for a fortnight and end on Tuesdays.

"Even if an offer is ending soon, our research has found that a lot of products regularly go back on offer again and again, so it's best to only buy the item if you were already planning to do so."

The code ensures you'll never miss a bargain again.

This tip is particularly handy for those who spot a deal but decide to grab it later, only to find the discount has disappeared.
