Areas in the "south of England" will experience the most dryness, which has been the theme throughout the summer months.
The weather wizard added: "Elsewhere in the UK, such as in northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, rain-bearing weather fronts will make limited headway against the high pressure, bringing some rain to north-western parts of the UK."
Echoing the above statement, deputy chief meteorologist Rebekah Sherwin said that temperatures will be much cooler than July.
"The weather pattern bringing next week's hot spell is different to the one responsible for last month's record-breaking temperatures which saw already hot air being drawn up from southern Europe adding to our own home-grown heat," she explained. "This time, that is much less likely; instead, temperatures will build steadily within the lingering area of high pressure."

While the sun may be out, Sherwin explained that August heat is not the same as June/July as "the sun is lower in the sky and the hours of daylight are marginally shorter."
"Both of these factors suggest that we're very unlikely to see temperatures peak much above low to mid 30s. However, this would still be a hot spell of weather," she said.
The warm weather is expected to last until at least the middle of the month, at which point we should see "more changeable conditions."
