The UK is set to be hit by a 'Spanish Plume' with temperatures set to reach up to 27 degrees.
Yup that's right, the sunny spells are making a return!
The country's driest spring in over 50 years came to an end this past weekend when we were treated to an abundance of rainfall and blustery conditions.
Tempertures will start to rise from Monday, getting hotter as the week goes on.
Looking on to the end of the week, the Met Office said: “The start of this period is likely to be quite unsettled but also widely warm or very warm, perhaps locally hot in parts of the south and east.
“Some showers and thunderstorms are likely to affect most parts, but there will also be some sunshine.
“Over the weekend and into the start of the following week, most parts will become drier.”
Provisional figures from the Met Office showed the average temperature this spring was 9.5 degrees, well above the long-term climatological average by 1.4 degrees.
80% of the warmest UK springs have occurred since the year 2000, with the three warmest springs having all happened since 2017.
This spring saw just 128.2mm of rainfall, which is 40% below the long-term average.
More warm, sunny days ahead it seems!
