Warwick Davis's children have said their dad is sorry for any "concern" he caused following a social media post on Sunday night.
Last week, Davis announced that his wife Samantha had died at the age of 53.
Samantha passed away on March 24, with Davis saying her death had "left a huge hole in our lives as a family."
On Sunday night, the Harry Potter and Star Wars actor prompted worry among his fans when he shared a post on X which simply read: "I'm done here, sgning [sic] off."
He ended the message with a broken heart emoji.
In a post later that night, his two children, Annabelle and Harrison, gave an update on their dad and said he was sorry "if his message caused anyone concern."
They wrote: "Thank you everyone for looking out for our Dad, he is taking some time away from social media. He apologises if his last message caused anyone concern. We appreciate all of your love and support, Annabelle and Harrison x."
In a statement to the BBC last week, Davis described ‘Sammy’ as his “most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career’.
“She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes.”
The pair had met on the set of Willow in 1988, and married three years later.
Some of Samantha’s acting credits included appearing in the children’s series Through the Dragon’s Eye and alongside her husband in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Along with her acting work, Samantha was also a charity founder, and set up the dwarfism charity Little People UK in 2012 to help individuals with dwarfism and their families.
Referencing her charity work, Davis said: “She was passionate about helping people, without judgment. She had time for everyone and a genuine listening ear.”
Harrison and Annabelle also paid tribute alongside their dad, saying “her love and happiness carried us through our whole lives”.
“Mum is our best friend and we’re honoured to have received a love like hers,” they added.
