The McDonald's is located on Clumber Street in Nottingham[/caption]
Police believe those involved were between the ages of 14 and 16-years-old, and dressed in tracksuit bottoms, hats and caps. Around 20 members of the crowd who stayed behind also threatened and abused staff.
Officers attended the incident, but the group had dispersed. There were also reports that the group congregated outside the Milton Street McDonald’s in Nottingham at around 10pm, though nothing was taken, and nobody was there when police arrived.
Videos of the incident have since been circulating social media, which show some people helping themselves to food in the kitchen.
Nottinghamshire Police said they are taking the incident "very seriously".
No arrests have been made, but the investigation continues. "We will be working with the Clumber Street McDonald’s and carrying out CCTV inquiries to find those responsible," a Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson added.@itvnews McDonald’s stormed by teenagers in Nottingham #itvnews #mcdonalds #nottingham ♬ original sound - itvnews
A McDonald’s spokesman said they were "shocked and appalled" by the incident, and that it had "absolutely no place" in the company's restaurants.
"We will continue to support the police with any further investigations," the spokesperson added.
