This Morning guest Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek was a passenger on the fateful Air India flight, it's been revealed.
Co-founder of The Wellness Foundry, Fiongal appeared on the ITV programme twice this year - the first time in January and then as a spiritual advisor in April, where he brushed shoulders with presenters Ben Shephard, Cat Deeley and Josie Gibson.
Paying tribute to the late 39-year-old on Instagram, who was returning to London after an Indian holiday on Thursday (June 12), former This Morning editor Martin Frizell highlighted the star's "vibrancy".
"So so sad to hear that Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek and his partner are reported to be among the passengers and crew killed today on board the Air India flight bound for Gatwick," he wrote.
"I remember his visit to the studio in January, he was passionate about auras and although I'm a sceptical sort his vibrancy and sheer enthusiasm won folk over. And I know for a fact that he hoped to use his appearance on This Morning to build his Wellness brand, he had a great future ahead of him.
"Thoughts are with his family and friends and those of his partner Jamie."
Fiongal and his husband Jamie had uploaded a video from Ahmedabad Airport just minutes ahead of boarding the aircraft, which crashed shortly after takeoff and killed almost the entire plane.
Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid and This Morning regulars Lisa Snowdon and Dr. Raj Arora reacted in Martin's comment section with emotional emojis.
Meanwhile, Air India's multinational conglomerate parent company Tata will be pledging over £80k to the families of each deceased individual from the flight.
Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran announced on X: "We are deeply anguished by the tragic event involving Air India Flight 171. No words can adequately express the grief we feel at this moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones, and with those who have been injured.
"Tata Group will provide ₹1 crore [£86,000] to the families of each person who has lost their life in this tragedy. We will also cover the medical expenses of those injured and ensure that they receive all necessary care and support."
