The bassist with The Stone Roses and Primal Scream, Gary 'Mani' Mounfield, has died at the age of 63.
Mani, who was born in Crumpsall, Manchester, rose to fame as a member of The Stone Roses in the 80s.
He played on both the band's albums and was in The Stone Roses until they broke up in 1996.
His brother Greg confirmed Mani's death, writing: "IT IS WITH THE HEAVIEST OF HEARTS THAT I HAVE TO ANNOUNCE THE SAD PASSING OF MY BROTHER GARY MANI MOUNFIELD. RIP RKID."
Happy Monday's singer Rowetta paid tribute to Mani online writing: "Going to miss you so much. All my love to the boys, the family & all those who knew & loved him."
Mani's death comes just days after he announced that he was going on a talking tour.
Mani was set to talk about his time in The Stone Roses and Primal Scream from September next year.
Mani, whose mother was from Ireland, accepted the Made of Athy Award from his mother's hometown of Athy, Kildare, in 2019.
