The Daily Mail criticised after article uses inverted commas to describe Stephen Fry’s husband

The Daily Mail causing controversy isn't really a news story as much as it is an everyday occurrence.

But even so, a columnist's decision to use inverted commas when describing Stephen Fry's husband, Elliott Spencer, has quite rightly been condemned by the internet. The Mail's article about the couple, who married last year, bafflingly labelled 28-year-old Spencer as Fry's 'husband'.
