Texas school shooting: Video appears to show gunman at school

The killer is believed to have been armed with a handgun and an Ar-15 semi-automatic rifle and was wearing body armour

Video appears to show the moment the suspected shooter arrived at a Texas elementary school before gunning down 19 students and two adults. The footage, shared on Facebook, appears to show the armed suspect outside Robb Elementary School - which teaches children aged seven to 10 in the city of Uvalde - before he began his massacre around 11.32am local time on Tuesday. The shooter has been named as 18-year-old, Salvador Ramos. The teenager, armed with a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, and high-capacity magazines, is first thought to have shot his grandmother. Fourth-grade student Xavier Lopez, 10, was identified by his family as one of the victims. His mother had attended his awards ceremony just hours before the shooting. A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for his funeral. They told NBC 5 that he was due to turn 10 this summer. Amerie jo Garza, 10, was also killed in the shooting. Her father told ABC News that she had only celebrated her birthday two weeks ago. In a statement, he said: "Thank you everyone for the prayers and help trying to find my baby." Makenna Lee Elrod, 10, has been identified as one of the victims. Her parents had feared she may not have survived, and a family friend confirmed on Tuesday night that she was among the dead.
