Spencer Matthews has broken a world record after running a marathon every day for 30 days through desert.
The reality TV star successfully ran across 1,266km through the Jordanian Desert in scorching temperatures.
The reality star ran over 42.2km or 26.2 miles, every single day in the Jordanian Desert, clocking up 786.65 miles (1,266km) in the process.
He started near Wadi Rum on the edge of the Arabian Desert and finished the final marathon on Tuesday morning near the Dead Sea.
With this, he broke the Guinness World Record for most consecutive marathons run on sand.
The challenge was all in aid of Global's Make Some Noise charity, which funds grassroots projects and works with small charities across the UK.
Through his efforts, Matthews has managed to raise more than £350,000 for the charity.
To meet the world record criteria, Matthews had to stay on sand - and only sand - the entire time, and had to finish all marathons within six hours.
In a post on Instagram after completing the challenge, he said: “I did it!!! I can hardly believe it!! 30 desert marathons 30 consecutive days… all on sand.
“I am now a Guinness World Records holding endurance athlete - the first and only person to successfully run this many back-to-back marathons in these extreme conditions. Just over 42.2km or 26.2 miles, every single day. That’s 1,274.02km of some of the world’s toughest terrain with no comfort in which to recover.”
He was reunited with his wife Vogue Williams, who had travelled to Jordan with their children to cheer him on.
In a post on Instagram, she said: “Couldn’t be prouder of my Spencer Matthews an incredible achievement for an amazing cause.
“I joined him for 5k today and it was HOT and there were rocks everywhere, solid ground nowhere to be seen!” she wrote.
The mum-of-three added: “Impossible to many (especially me) but I always knew he would do it… well done Spenno.”
