If you are faint hearted, you will not like to hear the lengths where Simon Cowell goes as he tries to stay young.
The former X Factor judge has said that he tries to do this by washing his own blood.
That is, going to a clinic where he has his blood taken, it gets washed and then put back into him.
In a recent interview with the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, Cowell, 66, has explained it all in detail.
"I go to this wellness clinic where they actually take your blood, they rinse it, they filter it, they put it back into your body", he said.
According to him, by "eating better, more exercise, less stress", he has actually aged backwards.
In fact, he has said that he once thought about ‘freezing’ himself in an attempt to live longer.
‘I actually was gonna freeze myself once because I thought why not? But then I found out you basically come back in 2,000 years as a floating head’, he said.
This very same method is used by famous actors such as Orlando Bloom.
What this process does is that it promises removal of metals, chemicals and microplastics from your blood and body.
This medical procedure known as apheresis, somewhat similar to dialysis, includes having two large needles to remove your blood from your arm and it lasts a few hours.
It seems it is now becoming a trend for those who can afford it, while it was used for serious diseases for decades.
It is costly too, at about £10,000.
But scientists aren’t so sure about blood washing or its impact, as there is no proof for it.
And on the freezing subject, what Cowell meant is human cryopreservation.
If you do this, you are frozen shortly after dying in the hope that you could get warmed up one day and brought back to life. But science has not found a way to do this yet, so it remains only wishful thinking.
Around 600 people in the world have done this reportedly, whereas thousands of others have signed up for it.
