Ryanair has launched a new subscription service for £79 a year.
The new service was launched earlier this week and offers discounts to frequent travellers.
It's called Ryanair Prime and costs £79 per year.
Benefits to the subscription include free reserved seats, free travel insurance and access to 12 annual member-exclusive seat sales.
Dara Brady, Ryanair’s CMO, explained: "Ryanair 'Prime' is a new subscriber discount scheme for frequent flyers that want to fly regularly but don’t want to break the bank to do so."
He described the price as ‘modest’ due to the ‘great savings’ it brings.
For a customer who flies 12 times per year, the service will save them over £400 each year.
One passenger buying a reserved seats on 12 flights a year, that amounts to £120.
Travel insurance for the same number of flights would cost £180.
Furthermore, Ryanair says each Prime member would save at least of £120 on 12 seats bought in a members exclusive sale.
Add together all these savings and it amounts to £420.
Even for those who don't fly frequently, the budget airline insists it’s still a good deal.
Ryanair has said that even if you only flew with them three times a year, you could save £105 as a Prime member.
Some passengers have been thrilled by news of the new scheme, with one calling it 'a great move'.
However, others have been quick to slam the airlines new scheme.
