Last night, the news emerged that former One Direction singer Liam Payne had tragically died.
Payne died after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Guardian reported that the singer’s cause of death has been confirmed citing reports from the Argentinian prosecutors office.
The autopsy shows that Payne died from multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding caused by a fall from a third-story hotel balcony.
Just hours after Payne's death was announced, fellow music star, Rita Ora, took to the stage at a concert in Osaka, Japan, where she sang a song which she wrote with the One Direction singer.
She was visibly emotional and passionately sang the song 'For You' from the 'Fifty Shades Freed' film soundtrack in 2018.
Ora broke into tears during the song as she admitted: "I can’t even sing this right now."
During her performance of the song a picture of the two of them was shown on the screen behind her.
The pair became good friends down the years, with Ora describing Payne as "a joy to be around" in a social media tribute to the singer which she shared after her gig ended.
The 33-year-old wrote: "I’m devastated. He had the kindest soul, I will never forget.
"I loved working with him so much - he was just such a joy to be around on and off stage. This tragic news breaks my heart. Sending all my love and prayers to his family and loved ones.
"Our song For You takes on a whole new meaning for me now. R.I.P."
