A red alert has been issued for the Canary Islands as 'hurricane-force' winds are set to hit the holiday hotspot.
Tourists have been warned to avoid the red weather areas today, Thursday.
The waring was issued from midnight last night for 24 hours.
Gusts from 68 to 81 miles per hour, and even worse, are expected.
The most severe conditions are set for Spain's western islands of Tenerife, La Palma, El Hierro and La Gomera.
The weather conditions in these areas are expected to result in dangerous sea conditions.
Additionally, the other islands are also expecting high levels of winds ranging from 43 to 62 miles per hour.
Agencia Estatal de Meteorolgia have urged people to take extreme caution due to the high level of danger posed by the weather.
Tourists have been told to keep doors and windows closed in order to avoid damage from the storm.
Storm Nuria is the fourteenth high-impact storm of the season.
