Who can believe it? It's already the day after Christmas and you'll have to wait another 364 days to do it all again.
You've gorged on turkey, stuffing, chocolates and alcohol with names you've never heard of and went to bed feeling very content with yourself after another fantastic Christmas innings.
However, it's now the morning after and you're feeling rather worse for wear and, actually, you're probably not the only one.
That's because it's officially the season of the winter vomiting bug and other unfriendly viruses looking to spoil the post-Christmas festivities.
We've been warned in recent weeks of a superflu spreading, while the most vulnerable have been encouraged to get vaccinated.
This is because Christmas is the superspreading gust of wind that a virus needs to distribute its seed everywhere as families unite and eat and drink together under perfectly infectious conditions.
Furthermore, with cold weather suppressing immune systems and promoting viruses such as rhinoviruses and influenza, it is the hotspot of the year to pickup some liquid excretion.
That's right while the family are enjoying turkey sandwiches or rewatching Wallace and Gromit, liquid is flying out of every hole.
On top of this you might have a high temperature, a headache and aches and pains - not fun at all.
The most likely suspect is the norovirus which is definitely no mug, but fortunately not a long-term tenant in human HQ, clearing from the body usually in under a few days.
Now, this next fact is a bit grim, so hold on tight, but norovirus is highly contagious and spread through faeces and vomit, so you can imagine if you have it where it has come from - Boxing Day ruined.
With this in mind, it is absolutely vital to wash your hands with soap, even if you're feeling fine, so don't forget!
If you do find yourself ill try to get comfy and give your body everything it needs to fend off the pesky virus as effectively as possible and try not to think about who was slavering the turkey you ate last night with their unwashed hands.
This said, you never know, you might just be very hungover.

It’s not quite as crazy as it sounds Google wants to release 32,000,000 disease-infected mosquitoes into the wild. Yes, you heard that right, and while this may sound like the evil masterplan of a crazed villain, the project is actually one of goodwill for the betterment of humanity.
