Reality TV star Harry Savage, best known for his appearances on Hunted, has died aged 26 at his home address.
His death is being treated as unexpected while police have arrested a man in his 30s who was later bailed awaiting further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination commenced on Saturday (20 July) while authorities await the results of toxicology tests.
Paramedics found a man unresponsive after being called to a home in Putney, southwest London, at around 9:15am on Friday (19 July), before pronouncing him dead at the scene.
The 26-year-old rose to prominence after appearing on series four of Hunted in 2019 which was filmed when he was a 20-year-old drama student.
The show follows a group of ordinary people who are pursued by former police and intelligence officers as they try to evade capture.
Harry appeared on the show with his brother Frank only weeks after losing their mother, a tragedy which was emotionally shared on the show.
The brothers from Essex grew up on the family farm while Harry went on to live in London working for the dating app Thursday.
In the wake of the sudden death friends have sent tributes on social media.
One friend wrote: “I lost my one of my very best friends this weekend. I’m utterly heartbroken, devastated and in complete shock. Hold on tight to those closest to you. Tell them you love them every god damn day.
“I will miss you forever Harry Savage. You were and always will be everything. I’m not sure how to navigate life without you but you’d just tell me to get the f**k on with it I love you x”.
A spokesperson from Metropolitan Police told The Independent that they “remain in contact with the man’s family and will be supporting them as enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.
“Detectives responsible for policing Wandsworth are investigating the incident as an ‘unexpected death’.”
