Prince Harry won’t meet up with King Charles during visit to UK

Prince Harry is reportedly not going to see King Charles while he is in the UK

The 39-year-old was last in the UK in February, after the King was diagnosed with cancer.

He is set to be in London for a fleeting visit, and will attend a service at St Paul's Cathedral tomorrow.

The Duke of Sussex is said to be travelling without his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

A spokesperson for the Prince said: "It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’'s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."

The Invictus Games have been one of the Prince's flagship events since he founded it 10 years ago.

The games are close to Harry’s heart having served in the armed forces himself. The Royal website features a statement on the games: “Prince Harry is committed to ensuring that wounded servicemen and women, who have given so much for their country, should be given the respect and support they deserve to lead fulfilling lives post-recovery.”

Since the inaugural event in London, a plethora of cities have played host; Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, The Hague and Dusseldorf have boasted host status. Vancouver is set to host the 2025 edition.

The Invictus Games Foundation is the owner of the brand and decides who the host will be.
