A pet pig that used to belong to Logan Paul has been saved by an animal sanctuary after the animal was found in a "potentially life-threatening" condition. The Gentle Barn is an American nonprofit animal sanctuary located in Santa Clarita, California. They rescue animals and post online about the journey of restoring their rescues to a healthy standard.

It turns out Pearl may have a connection to YouTube megastar Logan Paul.

The sanctuary was told that Pearl used to be owned by "an influencer."

In the caption for the TikTok, the Gentle Barn wrote: "Pearl was found alone in a field next to another pig who had passed away. She came to us with tattered ears and a potentially life-threatening infection in her uterus that has since been healed.

"From what we've been told, it's believed she was purchased originally from a breeder by an influencer.

They explained that people often "buy 'mini pigs' or 'teacup pigs' for clout online, believing they will stay small."

"When they inevitably grow very large and have many unexpected needs, they're sadly discarded," they added.

She was then rehomed, but the sanctuary said she had "clearly been through so much trauma that we can't begin to imagine."

A source close to the online personality told the publication that he was very upset to learn of Pearl's condition and is truly grateful to Gentle Barn. In his email, Paul said it was ""shocking and heartbreaking" to hear about Pearl's condition and offered to help contribute to the pig's care again.
