Partygate Prime Minister Boris Johnson has commended the Queen's "unwavering dedication to this nation" as she becomes the first monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.
Boris Johnson,
who last year allegedly partied hours before the Queen lay her husband to rest, joined the nation in wishing the Queen a very happy Jubilee.
He said: "Today marks a truly historic moment as Her Majesty The Queen becomes the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

"Throughout her seven-decade reign, she has shown an inspirational sense of duty and unwavering dedication to this nation.
"I pay tribute to her many years of service and look forward to the summer when we will be able to come together as a country to celebrate her historic reign."
Earlier in the week, Johnson shared similar remarks in the Commons, stating: "While it is a moment for national celebration it will be a day of mixed emotions for Her Majesty as the day also marks 70 years since the death of her beloved father, George VI.

On February 6, Lizzie also announced that she wanted Camila to adopt the mantle of Queen once Charles took the throne.
A senior royal aide told the Times: "Ever since the duke's passing, there has been an element of 'I won't be here for ever', and an eagerness to pass on her experience to people and put certain things in place. She is making the point that she learnt from her own mother and father, and her own experience, what that role of consort takes.

Similarly, Royal historian Hugo Vickers said: "This is something that needed to be sorted out during this reign, otherwise there would have been a question mark over it and the duchess would have been Queen by law, if not by name. It is fascinating and all about a smooth transition."
