Salah Abdeslam, one of the chief suspects from last November's terrorist attacks in Paris, has reportedly been wounded in a shoot-out with police in a Brussels suburb.
Abdeslam has been the subject of a massive manhunt ever since the attacks on 13 November, and earlier this week his fingerprints were found in a Brussels flat after a police raid.
Prosecutors have yet to confirm that the 26-year-old has been caught, although French Prime Minister Francois Hollande did confirm that an operation is taking place in Brussels linked to the attacks in Paris.
Abdeslam is believed to have played a key role in organising the attacks that left 130 people dead in the French capital.
Having called friends to pick him up in Paris hours after the attacks, their car was stopped at the border of France and Belgium and Abdeslam’s ID was checked. However, he was allowed to continue through to Belgium and has evaded police ever since.
