He added: “Anyone in their right mind who does take part in that whole circus is a f***ing idiot.
“I should start a new party called the After Show Party, it would be great.”
Back in 1997, Noel and his brother Liam were invited to Downing Street by Tony Blair after Labour’s landslide general election victory. The images from that night of politicians and rockstars mingling became symbolic of the “Cool Britannia” era.
The invite followed Noel’s shout-out to the then Labour leader at the Brit Awards two months previously when he told the crowd that Blair “was giving a little hope to young people in this country.”

“If that man and this Conservative party won a landslide against the Labour Party then what are we saying about the f***ing Labour Party. A f***ing disgrace.”
