Noel Gallagher has launched a scathing attack on the Labour Party. Branding the party a “f*****g disgrace”, the rocker accused its politicians of “betraying the working classes” by failing to stop Boris Johnson winning the 2019 election. The Oasis star, 54, who was once a staunch supporter of Tony Blair, said he was so fed-up with the party that he wouldn’t be voting at the next election. “I f***ing hate the Labour Party, they’re a f***ing disgrace,” he ranted. “They’ve betrayed the working classes, they’ve betrayed ordinary people and they’ve allowed this shower to run the country for however long they’ve f***ing run the country. “The modern Labour Party is middle-class ****s who f***ing hate the working class, they hate them, it’s as simple as that. I haven’t voted for years.” Noel, who grew up in Burnage - a predominantly working class Manchester suburb - took aim at Keir Starmer’s party in an interview on Matt Morgan’s podcast. So disillusioned with British politics has the rockstar become that he even joked about making a career change and starting his own party. The images from that night of politicians and rockstars mingling became symbolic of the “Cool Britannia” era. The invite followed Noel’s shout-out to the then Labour leader at the Brit Awards two months previously when he told the crowd that Blair “was giving a little hope to young people in this country.” But it seems a decade of Tory rule has left the guitarist frustrated with his former party. On Boris Johnson he said: “He is the symbol of how f***ing disgraceful the Labour Party are. “If that man and this Conservative party won a landslide against the Labour Party then what are we saying about the f***ing Labour Party.
