Music legend Akon arrested in USA

He was arrested on a bench warrant.

According to TMZ, the Locked Up rapper was arrested in Georgia on a warrant last Thursday.

He was booked into jail and released six hours later.

While the news of his arrest broke last night, it has since been revealed that Akon was arrested because he had a bench warrant issued for failure to appear for a suspended license.

Apparently it all started back in September when Akon was driving a Tesla Cybertruck that was stranded in the middle of the road.

Akon told police that he was the driver and the battery had died.

Police then discovered that Akon's license was suspended so he was issued a citation.

The police also claimed 'an illegal vape was seized and submitted for destruction'.
